Put devices in a controlled room with 23° celcius and 250 (+/- 50) lux Then we prepared both installs as follows: To get reproducible and comparable results for Windows 8.1 versus Windows 10, we clean-installed both versions and installed only the latest drivers as well as our speed testing software, PCMark 8. It’s one of the hotter devices of 2015, and should definitely show if and how much Windows 10 is able to speed things up compared to the pre-installed Windows 8.1.
